The truck is in good shape for a 2009. I love the truck and want to keep it in good shape so it will last another 10 years. I started looking in to undercoating treatment and found ES Professional Undercoating which had awesome, fantastic reviews, where customers talked about Sam’s excellent work, how thorough he was and honest…all at a fair price. The shop was only about 5 miles from my home. From the beginning when I walked through the door Sam showed me everything he was doing! He showed me where the rust was, what he was doing, he showed me when he descaled it, he showed me when he took the rust out of the chassis; he actually brought it to me and placed it in my hand so I could look at it. Before he started the job he took pictures from every single angle. After he finished the truck he showed me all the undercoating he did on the bottom of the chassis. He took pictures again of the finished job. When he finished he lowered the truck down and showed me on the top of the wheel wells and the chassis. I am extremely satisfied with this undercoating treatment and will be back there in a year for a re-do. Sam is a great person! He knows his stuff, very knowledgeable. I recently had my new Subaru Crosstrek treated by Sam with his permanent wax undercoating system, and I came away extremely impressed with the entire experience. From communication and scheduling through preparation, application, and final delivery, Sam demonstrated an exceptional level of professionalism, care, and attention to detail. This is very different from a typical annual oil-spray treatment. The permanent wax system is intended as a long-term solution, backed by a lifetime warranty with inspection and touch-up as needed. For a vehicle I intend to keep through years of New England winters, that approach made a lot of sense. What impressed me most was the preparation. The Crosstrek has extensive factory underbody paneling covering much of the floor pan and structure. Rather than simply spraying around it, Sam carefully removed the panels to treat the hidden metal, seams, structural members, brackets, and mounting areas underneath. The vehicle itself was extensively covered and masked, with careful attention paid to the exhaust, heat shielding, drivetrain components, sensors, wiring, connectors, and other areas where coating didn't belong. I was admittedly particular about having a brand-new vehicle disassembled, especially considering the number of factory panels, clips, fasteners, and sensors involved. Sam took that concern seriously. Everything was carefully reassembled, and following application he personally performed three complete post-application inspections to verify both comprehensive coverage and proper factory-spec reassembly. He was equally particular about the curing process, requiring the vehicle to remain parked and not be driven while the wax went through its initial hardening and curing stage. Nothing about the process felt rushed. The result is exactly what I wanted: the difficult-to-access metal underneath the factory panels is now protected, while those panels are back in place providing an additional physical barrier against salt, water, sand, stones, and road debris. The exposed structural and suspension components received equally thorough attention. Just as impressive was Sam's commitment to customer satisfaction. Communication was excellent, questions were welcomed, the work was well documented, and he went well beyond simply completing the application to make sure I was comfortable with every aspect of the job. The lifetime warranty speaks volumes about both the completeness of the process and Sam's confidence in his workmanship. After seeing firsthand the preparation, disassembly, masking, careful application, curing, reassembly, and multiple final inspections involved, I understand the value in having this done properly. I couldn't be happier with the experience or the finished product. Sam clearly takes tremendous pride in his work and goes above and beyond to make sure the job is done right.
